Dayglow with Oscar Lang at Tolhuistuin Amsterdam

On April 10, fans crowded the halls of Tolhuistuin in Amsterdam, eager to secure a spot close to the stage for Dayglow’s second ever international show with Oscar Lang. As the doors opened at 19:30, fans poured into the Club at Tolhuistuin, quickly packing the entire room for the sold out show. Excited whispers and enthusiastic predictions about what songs would be on the set lists drifted around the room.

After what was actually only 30 minutes but felt like an eternity, Oscar Lang and his band stepped into the limelight to kick off the night. Starting with “21st Century Hobby”, Oscar’s set was a mix of both newer songs and the hits that we all know and love like “She Likes Another Boy”.

Hailing from London, Oscar has been making and releasing music since 2016. His most recent album, Chew The Scenery, was released in August of 2021. Blending elements from Brit-pop, acoustic rock, and other genres, his music brings something fresh to the hypothetical indie rock table.

After Oscar closed out his set with a mosh pit for the song “Pretty Princess'', the crowd moved as close to the stage as possible to get a good spot for the headliner, Dayglow. As the house lights went down and the stage lights went on, cheers poured from the crowd towards the stage in anticipation for the amazing set they were about to witness.

After the release of the debut album Fuzzybrain in 2018, Dayglow began to quickly gain traction across social media and streaming platforms. Songs like “Can I Call You Tonight” have (deservingly) amassed over 330 million streams, and if we’re being honest, there is not a single “skip” on Fuzzybrain, or Dayglow’s most recent album titled Harmony House.

For the rest of the night, fans danced and sang along to every song that Dayglow performed without skipping a beat, from “Hot Rod” to “Listerine”. As the show came to a close, a euphoric feeling filled every show go-er’s heart. To keep up with Dayglow on tour, check out his Instagram and Spotify!
